Date of Event: December 5 & 6, 2009
The troop went cold weather camping at the Seven Springs group
campground. The temperature on Saturday morning was a whole 16 degrees!
Brrrr! Several of the gallon water jugs were frozen in the morning.
A small expedition went out looking for mistletoe. We found some
high up in the trees in the nearby campground. It was too high up to
reach. We then drove through the desert to a secret undisclosed location
when we found some growing on bushes. It had a yellowish tint to it due
to the lack of rain. We gathered some anyway and brought it back to
camp.
Sunday morning wasn't as cold. A nice warm fire felt good none the
less.
