Date of Event: March 8-9 2008
Attendance: 2 adults, 5 scouts
We hiked into the Sycamore Canyon wilderness for an overnight
backpacking trip. It was a 5 mile hike into the canyon to a river. We
setup camp close to the river in a well used clearing. There was even a
campfire ring already setup for us. Sycamore Canyon backpack
The weather was cooperative for the most part. It threatened to rain
at one point, but we only got a few sprinkles. The rest of the trip was
sunny.
The boys kept themselves occupied with just about anything they could
find. Logs, sticks and rocks kept them busy for quite a while. In some
of the photos you will see rocks that each scout picked out and named.
