We had two tasks to complete this year. Our first task was to rebuild the dam at West Webber Creek
that fills the pond. We used materials that were readily available at
the site. We used logs, rocks and dirt to build up the dam. We worked
for a few hours in the morning and a few more in the afternoon.
Out second task was to put into place a new bulleting
board in Site 2 to replace the one that fell down last year. The
bulletin board was built before the project, we just had to dig 2 holes
and secure it in cement. The Famous Geronimo dirt proved to be a
challenge. Underneath the Geronimo dirt is Geronimo clay, which is even
more of a challenge. It took most of the day, but 4 scouts finally
managed to dig the two holes. Site 2 now has a very nice bulletin board
thanks to Troop 222!
